Bangkok becomes food trade show hub

Quite the culinary favourite of Asia, Bangkok is set to get its own Michelin Guide soon. In the wake of the rising importance of Thailand as a hospitality capital, this year’s Food and Hotel Thailand (FHT2017) will host its 25th edition at BITEC, Bangkok from September 6-9.

The leading international trade exhibition for food and hospitality business in Thailand and the region, FHT has a proven record of presenting new products and services from the world’s best companies, and delivering business for exhibitors. The event gets strong support from regional industry associations, and includes leading industry conferences and events.

FHT2017 incorporates three shows: Coffee & Culture 2017, the 7th International Exhibition for Coffee & Tea that includes professional coffee competitions and seminars organized by the Barista Association of Thailand (BAT) and UBM-BES, and supported by the ASEAN Coffee Federation (ACF); Hospitality & Retail Technology Asia 2017, the 17th International Exhibition for Hospitality & Retail Technology that presents the latest products and services ranging from inroom entertainment to POS and reservation systems; and Wine & Spirits Thailand 2017, the 5th International Exhibition for Wine & Spirits which also features the Food & Beverage Association of Thailand’s (FBAT) annual wine challenge and professional wine seminars.

Also taking place alongside FHT2017 is Thailand’s 23rd International Culinary Cup, the country’s largest and longest running international culinary arts competition.
