Regional but effective, there are two upcoming shows in the F&B sector that cater to the niche needs of the region

A five-day event, the 28th edition of HKTDC Food Expo will be held from August 17-21 this year at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre in Hong Kong. This event will showcase food and food products, beverages, food processing equipment, food preparation machines, agricultural products, livestock and poultry products, among other food-related items in the F&B industry.

The expo will also feature specialised zones such as Halal Food and Chinese Medicine that will give exhibitors and buyers a chance to discuss and explore the regional markets for the same.

One of the high rankers both in terms of food production and consumption in ASEAN, Malaysia’s total trade grew by 1.2%, with a registered growth of 1.9% in exports and 0.4% in imports, in 2015. The 18th Malaysian International Food & Beverage Trade Fair (MIFB), which will take place next month from August 9-11 in Kuala Lumpur, will work in line to grow Malaysia’s trade, by bringing in F&B providers, industrial experts and innovators, to offer a plethora of products and services under one roof.

MIFB 2017 will also conduct the eighth International F&B Machinery, Packaging & Service Solutions Exhibition (FoodTech 2017) and the third Asian Seafood & Fishery, Raw & Processed Produce, Technology & Supply Chain Solution Trade Fair (S&F Asia 2017) alongside the main show.

In addition, MIFB 2017 will focus on Natural and Organic Foods, Halal Products, Food Ingredients, and Processed and Ready-to-Eat Foods.
