Japanese biscuit brand Hello Panda has unveiled its latest coconut flavour in Singapore. The brand’s maker, Meiji Seika, says Singapore will be the first market for its roll-out before making the new product available globally.
First released in Japan in 1979, Hello Panda is made of flavoured cream filling encased in a crispy biscuit shell. The brand also comes in chocolate, strawberry, milk, double chocolate, matcha green tea, and chocomilk flavours.
According to the company, Hello Panda Coconut contains natural coconut extract in a light and smooth-textured cream, wrapped in its signature crunchy biscuit. The new flavour promises a delicately balanced snack with a burst of authentic coconut fragrance, Meiji adds.
“With the strong local snacking culture and rising popularity of Asian flavours in snacks, Hello Panda Coconut was crafted as a treat for our South-east Asian fans,” says Akira Suzuki, sales and marketing deputy director of Meiji Seika Singapore.
Adding a fun touch to the snack, Hello Panda has recently introduced 100 panda characters printed on the biscuits’ packaging. Fans will be able to spot unique panda designs as they consume their favourite treat.
