Singapore-based Caffé B, a social dining and bar concept that marries the best of Italian culinary traditions with the artful finesse of Japanese culture, is offering a special menu for Valentine’s Day. Created by executive chef Masanao Saito, the one-night-only menu consists of traditional Italian favourites such as Spaghetti Vongole, using Japanese ingredients such as perila and yuzu.
The dishes will be paired with Italian wines such as Il Pollenza Cosmino and Cabernet Sauvignon — suggested for main courses of either the Roasted Lamb Rack and Rosemary Sauce or the bold and lavish Tenderloin Steak with Truffle Fond de Veal. The lamb rack is served with rosemary sauce, eggplant purée with lotus roots couscous ajvar, while the tenderloin steak is served with luxurious pan-seared foie gras and potato purée.
