To ensure its customers get its pizza delivery orders hot and delicious, Pizza Hut has rolled out its Hot Dot Promise, a mobile pizza tracking feature to take the “guesswork out of pizza delivery” for Pizza Hut customers in Singapore.
The “Hot Dot” is a heat-sensitive thermochromic sticker pasted on the pizza take-out box. Originally black, the word “HOT” in bold red appears with a grey background when the pizza is piping hot, assuring customers of a hot and hearty meal from Pizza Hut’s oven to their homes.
The company said as the first pizza company in Singapore to launch a mobile tracking feature with a map, customers of Pizza Hut can now have real-time visibility into the status of their orders. They will know exactly when their pizza orders leave the restaurant, which route the rider is taking when making his way to their homes, and when the pizza will be reaching them.
Joyce Tan, senior marketing director, Pizza Hut Singapore, said: “Pizza Hut pioneered the pizza delivery service in Singapore and ever since then, we are constantly pushing the envelope for better delivery service and customer satisfaction.
“The ability to track the pizza while it is being delivered gives customers visibility of where their food is in transit, and exactly when the pizza is reaching their doorstep and be ready to receive it when it arrives.”
