Fourth biggest food show in the world catering to exhibitors and visitors to and from the region

One of the most populated countries in the world, China is an ever-expanding food market. It is the biggest global market for spirits consumption and the world’s largest online retail market. The Chinese food sector is currently one of the fastest-growing sectors with a growth rate of about 20% per year.

SIAL China is the fourth biggest food show in the world catering to exhibitors and visitors to and from the region. SIAL China 2017 was held in Shanghai in May. Not only did it facilitate interaction of Chinese buyers and suppliers with global players but it also provided valuable market insights, trends and innovations of the regional food industry, especially in the meat and dairy sectors.

SIAL China also hosted some speciality events at the show including a Retail & Hospitality Forum to initiate debates around major topics such as shaping food culture; a seafood cooking event in partnership with CAPPMA; Chocolate World that showcased some of the world’s best chocolate; China National Specialty Tea Cup to identify leaders in the specialty tea community; and Wine Innovation Forum that invited top speakers from the international wine world as well as top local wine experts.
